CFIA: Complete List of 135 Recalled Canadian Beef Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has posted a complete list of all of the recalled products produced by New Food Classics. More than 130 products are included in the recall. The products may be contaminated with E. coli 0157:H7.

New Food Classics went bankrupt on January 17, 2012, just one month before the company learned that one case of E. coli 0157:H7 had been linked to their products. The producer and its companies are in liquidation.

All of the frozen beef products bearing Establishment number (EST) 761 are part of the recall. That is the number of the New Food Classics Corporation.

These products have one of these codes:

  • Best before date from BB 2012 JA 01 up to and including BB 2013 FE 15
  • Bearing a production code with a format of 11 JL 01 up to and including 12 FE 15
  • Bearing a 5 digit lot code where the last four digits are 1831 or greater.
