Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. is recalling 1,600 bowls of fresh-cut mangoes because they may be contaminated with Salmonella Braenderup. This recall is issued in cooperation with the FDA’s warning to not consume mangoes imported from Aricola Daniella in Mexico.
The recalled product was distributed between September 8 and 12, 2012 by retailers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. The containers are clear, plastic 32 ounce bowls with a Del MonteĀ® label on top. One product has a best by date of 9/18/12 and lot code 05252101, and the other has best by date of 9/22/12 and lot code 03256100. The UPC number for both products is 7-62357-07532-1.
There have not been any illnesses linked to the consumption of this particular product. If you have purchased this product, return it to the store or discard it. For questions and more information, call the company’s consumer hotline at 1-800-659-6500.
