Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling 1,039 cases of bagged salads for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of this product.
The recalled salad is Dole Italian Blend in 10 ounce bags. The UPC code is 7143000819. The product code is 0049N2202008 and it has a Use-By date of August 20, 2012. The salads were sold in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Mississippi, and Virginia. The product is past its Use-By date, but consumers may still have it in their homes.
A sample of the product yielded a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes in testing conducted by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. If you have purchased this product, discard it.
