Flying Food Group Recalling Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes for Possible Salmonella

The Flying Food Group of Illinois is recalling Starbucks brand Protein Bistro Box with Enjoy By dates of 8/10/12 to 10/06/12 because they contain Justin’s Nut Butter peanut butter squeeze packs that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The Justin’s peanut butter was made with Sunland products that are linked to a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak in the U.S.

The product was sold in Starbucks retail stores in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada from 8/8/12 to 10/4/12. The product is in a clear plastic container, with a white code date sticker on the bottom. The recalled Justin’s single-serve Honey Peanut Butter pouches are inside the Protein Bistro Boxes.
