Four More Derivative Daniella Mango Recalls for Salmonella

The FDA has released four more derivative recalls for products made with Daniella brand mangoes. The fruit has been recalled for possible Salmonella Braenderup contamination and is linked to a nationwide outbreak.

Recall signReady Pac Foods of California is recalling packaged fruit products containing the mangoes that were recalled by Splendid Products Inc. The Fruit Trays, Sliced Mangoes, Super Fruit Medley, and Fruit Platters were sold inĀ Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Canada. The product labels are also available at the FDA site.

Pacific Coast Fruit Company is recalling deli styles fruit salads that contain the mangoes. VA Kit New Gourmet Fruit Salad 7.75#, with UPC number 20728 70006, item number 70006, and date range for recall of July 26 to August 30, 2012, is recalled. They are also recalling Mango & Cucumber Salsa, with UPC number 20728 71784, item number 71784, and date range for recall of July 30 to Septmber 3, 2012. The products were sold in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.

Triple B Corporation in Washington, doing business as Real Foods and Charlie’s Produce is recalling 1336 cases of fruit trays and fruit mixes because they contain the recalled Daniella mangoes. You can see the description, sizes, UPC numbers, and use-by date range at the FDA site. The products were sold in retail stores and delis in Washington state and Alaska. The Charlie’s Alaska Product fruit bowls were sold at Costco and Walmart in Alaska.

Taylor Farms in New Jersey is recalling fruit products because they contain the mangoes, or they were processed on the same equipment with the recalled mangoes. The products, Julian codes, and sell-by dates are at the FDA site. Those products were sold in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

If you have purchased any of these products, do not use them. Discard them or return to the place of purchase for a refund. You can contact the stores that sold the products; the phone numbers are listed on the FDA recall sites.
