Fresh Express is recalling another variety of Romaine salad for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Last week they recalled 9 ounce packages of Leafy Green Romaine Salad. Now they are recalling expired packages of Hearts of Romaine Salad. One package of that product tested positive for the bacteria as part of the FDA’s random sample testing program.
The recalled product is Hearts of Romaine Salad in 18 ounce size with expired Use-by Date of September 26, 2012, and Product Code H256808. No consumer complaints and no reports of illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product. The product was sold in the Northwest and Midwest United States.
