Fruiti Pops Inc. is recalling 178 dozen Fruiti Pops because they may contain egg yolk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. The recalled product is Fruit Pops Classic Coconut Frozen Dessert in the 4 ounce size. The recalled fruit pops were distributed in Southern California and sold by push cart vendors and ice cream trucks. They were distributed between June 25, 2012 and June 28, 2012.
The packaging on the pops is clear polypropylene packaging. It is not labeled with lot numbers or expiration dates. The UPC number, 763734 000011, is on the back of the wrapper.
No illnesses have been reported to date in association with the consumption of this product. No other flavors of Fruiti Pops or any other Fruiti Pops products are affected by this recall. If you have purchased this product and are allergic to, or sensitive to, egg, you may return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For questions, call the company at 52-404-2568 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
