Krispak Recalling Hostess Candy Mix for Undeclared Allergens

Krispak, Inc. of Grand Rapids Michigan is recalling 16 cases of Hostess Candy Mix. The mix was mis-packed, or put into the wrong packages. Cases of GFS® Hostess Candy Mix, which contains wheat and milk and may contain egg, were put into GFS® Chocolate Sprinkles packages.

  • GFS® Hostess Candy Mix
  • Red stand up GFS® 48 ounce pouch that says Chocolate Sprinkles
  • Code date on top of the pouch is 088 12
  • Distributed from April 5 to April 19, 2012
  • Distributed to Gordon Food Service Marketplace Stores in:
    • Indiana
    • Kentucky
    • Michigan
    • Ohio
    • Pennsylvania
    • Tennessee

No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of this product. The problem was caused by a breakdown in the production process.

Anyone who is allergic to milk, wheat, or eggs and bought GFS® Hostess Mix by th case or GFS® Chocolate Sprinkles, examine the product to see if it is part of this recall. If it is, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
