Food Poisoning Bulletin has decided to add pet food recalls to our roster, for several reasons. First, pets are members of the family. Secondly, children can eat pet foods out of curiosity or mischievousness. And finally, people sometimes eat pet food for financial reasons.
There are many pet food recalls that are currently active. The best way to get up to date is to check out the FDA’s pet food recall list. That list represents all pet food recalled since March 2007, and the information is current as of January 12, 2012.
We’ll list the current recalls as they occur.

I still dont understand why Petsmart, Wal-mart , and Food lion are still selling the dog food on the RECALL LIST, in Maryland
If a store is still selling food on the recall list, tell the store manager. You might want to call the store’s customer service line and inform them about this. You can also tell the FDA: If you are a consumer, you may report problems with pet food through the Safety Reporting Portal or contact the district office consumer complaint coordinator for your geographic area.
No store should be selling tainted dog food. so unbelievable. after a few hefty law suits i bet it would stop fast.
