River Ranch Fresh Foods Recalls Bagged Salads for Possible Listeria

River Ranch Fresh Foods, LLC of California is recalling retail and foodservice bagged salads because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The FDA conducted random finished product tests and discovered the problem.

Product details:

  • Retail salad products distributed nationwide in various sizes and these brand names:
    • Farm Stand
    • Hy-Vee
    • Marketside
    • River Ranch
    • Shurfresh
    • The Farmer’s Market
  • Foodservice salad products were distributed nationwide under various sizes and these brand names:
    • Cross Valley
    • Fresh ‘n Easy
    • Promark
    • River Ranch
    • Sysco
  • Products have “Best By” code dates between 12MAY2012 – 22MAY 2012 or Julian dates between 116 – 125
  • Code date is located in the upper right hand corner of the bags.
