Ciolino Produce is recalling sliced white mushrooms because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The grower, Highline Mushrooms of Ontario, is recalling the products from all marketplaces. The recalled product is Highline Mushrooms in 8 ounce (227 grams) containers with lot code L410805 followed by a 4-digit time code (e.g. L4108051420) and a Best Before date of 12AU15. The UPC number is 7 71163 00005 2.
The product was for sale at Ciolino Produce in Temperance and Monroe Michigan from August 10, 2012 to August 12, 2012. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Highline Mushrooms are warning the public not to consume those mushrooms. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
