United Salad Recalls Mango Products for Salmonella

United Salad is recalling mango products for possible Salmonella contamination. This type of product is eaten without a kill, or cooking step, by the consumer.

Recall SignageYou can see the list of recalled products, which includes Island Medley, Island Fruit Medley, Fruit Mix Ensalada, cut mango products, Salsa, and whole mangoes, at the FDA site. The products were distributed to retailers and supermarkets from 9/1/12 to 9/17/12 in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Anyone who has these products should not consume them; destroy or discard it or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund. For questions, call the company at 1-800-547-5536 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT.
