Allergy Alert for Undeclared Sulfites in Dried Lily Flowers

Blooming Import of New York is recalling dried lily flowers because they contain undeclared sulfites. People with asthma can have severe reactions if they consume more than 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving. And people with a severe sensitivity to sulfites could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Farmer Brand Dried Lily Flowers in 8 ounce clear plastic bags. The UPC number isĀ 734765040895. The product, which is from China, was sold nationwide. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Return it to the pace of purchase for a refund.

Sampling by the New York State Department if Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors revealed the presence of sulfites in the product. They are not declared on the label.
