Brach’s Malted Milk Balls Recalled for Undeclared Nuts

The Ferrara Candy company is voluntarily recalling their Brach’s Malted Milk Balls because they may contain undeclared tree nuts and peanuts, two of the major food allergen groups. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to those foods may have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this product.

RecallThe Brach’s Malted Milk Balls were sold in 6 pound, clear plastic packages packed in a box. The lot number is 20130418 on the side, and an expiration date of 4/17/14 stamped on the side. The product is intended to be sold to consumers in bulk bins. The recall is limited to this one lot of 5,274 pounds. No illnesses have been reported to date. The product was sold nationwide in retail stores.
