Cheryl’s Recalls Pumpkin Cookies for Undeclared Peanuts

Cheryl’s’ of Ohio is recalling 10,588 individually wrapped Buttercream Frosted Cinnamon Pumpkin Cookies because they contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Some of the packages of the Pumpkin Cookies contain Fudge Buttercream Frosted Peanut Butter Cookie. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The cookies are each 1.6 ounce and sold at Cheryl’s retail stores in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, as well as Cheryl’s website in April and May 2013.  The cookie label does state “Produced in a plant that also handles Peanuts and Tree nuts.”
