Chocolate Santas Recalled for Undeclared Milk

Concertos in Chocolate of Boulder, Colo. is recalling 450 solid milk chocolate Santas because they may contain undeclared milk products. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk products should not eat these products as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

chocolate-santa-recallThe recalled products were packaged in a clear, plastic bag with a green label and green bow under the brand name Concertos in Chocolate. The bag is 7” tall and weighs 5 ounces. The UPC number is 85869500072. The “ENJOY BY” dates range from September 1, 2014 to November 1, 2014. They were distributed in Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Utah and Idaho through retail stores.

This recall was initiated after some milk chocolate Santas were labeled with dark chocolate Santa labels. The dark chocolate Santa label does not list milk as an ingredient. No illnesses have been reported in association with the mix up.
