Galant Food Recalls Enzo’s Calzones for Undeclared Egg

Galant Food Company is recalling about 1,650 pounds of fresh or frozen calzone products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products have an egg wash glaze that is not declared on the label. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.

Recall SignageThe recalled products are 10-ounce packages, sold in 7.5 pound cases, of “ENZO’S Italian Combo Calzone” with the establishment number “EST. 9014” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Case codes areĀ 7163, 7173, 7183, 7223, 7253, 8143, 8303 and 9043. Also recalled are 10-ounce packages, in 7.5 pound cases, of “ENZO’S Chicken Fajita Calzone” with the establishment number “P-9014” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Case codes areĀ 7163, 7173, 7183, 7223, 8133 and 9043. They were made between July 18 and September 4, 2013, and shipped to distributors, retail locations, and possibly restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area.
