In Canada, Kirkland Ground Beef Recalled for E. coli

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Costco Wholesale Canada are recalling Kirkland Signature ground beef because it may be contaminated with “pathogenic” E. coli. The recall does not identify the kind of E. coli, whether it’s O157:H7 or one of the other six STEC bacteria. This is not the same beef that was recalled the first week of October that was associated with an outbreak. There are no illnesses associated with this new recall.
