Northern California Whole Foods Recalls Crostatas For Undeclared Eggs

Whole Foods Market in Northern California is recalling Sour Cherry and Blueberry Crostatas (pies) for undeclared eggs. Anyone with an egg allergy could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. You can see the long list of stores where the product was sold at the FDA site.

The crostatas were packaged in single-item clear, plastic clamshell containers or cardboard boxes. They were sold with Whole Foods Market labels, specifically “Sour Cherry Crostata” with UPC number 21673000000, and “Blueberry Crostata” with UPC numberĀ 0216733009993. The products were packaged before August 10, 2013 and have sell by dates before August 14, 2013.

No illnesses have been reported in connection to the consumption of these products. If you purchased these products and are allergic to eggs, return them to the place of purchase for a refund. For questions, call your local Whole Foods Market.
