Pista Khatie Cookies Recalled for Undeclared Eggs

Kashmir Crown Baking is recalling Pista Khatie pistachio cookies because they may contain undeclared eggs. Eggs are one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could have a serious or life threatening reaction if they eat this product. To date, no illnesses have been reported.

The recalled product, called “KCB Pista Khatie” is sold in 13 ounce (369 g) and 30 ounce (850 gram) transparent plastic containers. The expiration date is May 16, 2014. The 13 ounce size has UPC numberĀ 812042 001292, and the 30 ounce size has UPC numberĀ 812042 002962.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to egg, return them to the place of purchase for a refund. The 13 ounce packages of the cookies were distributed to retail shops in Ontario (greater Toronto area). The 30 ounce packages of the cookies were sold in retail shops in California.
