Plum Organics Baby Food Recalled for Premature Spoilage

Plum Organics Baby Food is recalling some Plum pouch products in the Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines because of a manufacturing defect. That defect may cause some pouches to swell and they may be spoiled. Parents should not feed any of these products to their children.

Feeding BabyThe recalled products have “best by” dates of 8/05/14 to 12/08/14 and the letters “AT”. The Baby products sold in 3.5 ounce pouches include: Apple Raisin & Quinoa; Blueberry, Parsnip & Buckwheat; Kale, Apple & Greek Yogurt; Mango, Carrot & Greek Yogurt; Plum, Berry & Barley; Pumpkin, Dates, Oats & Chia; Sweet Potato, Mango & Millet; and Zucchini, Banana & Amaranth.

The recalled Baby 4 ounce pouches include: Baby Apple & Carrot; Blueberry, Pear & Purple Carrot; Broccoli & Apple; Cherry, Sweet Corn & Greek Yogurt; Green Bean, Pear & Greek Yogurt; Peach, Apricot & Banana; Pear & Mango; Pumpkin & Banana; Raspberry, Spinach & Greek Yogurt; Spinach, Peas & Pear; and Sweet Potato, Corn & Apple. Recalled Tots products in 3.17 ounce pouches include Berry Banana Beet Yogurt Mish Mash and Purple Roots & Fruits Yogurt Mish Mash.

Also recalled are Tots 12.69 ounce boxes of Berry, Banana, Beet Yogurt Mish Mash; Blueberry Oats & Quinoa Morning Mish Mash; and Purple Roots & Fruits Yogurt Mish Mash. Recalled Kids products in 12.69 ounce boxes include Beetbox Berry Fruit & Veggie Mashups; Blueberry Blitz Fruit & Veggie Mashups; and Kids Tropical Fruit Mashups. Finally, Kids Mixed Berry Mashups in 38.04 ounce boxes are recalled.
