See’s Company of San Francisco is recalling all milk chocolate covered raisins  and dark chocolate covered raisins because they contain undeclared the allergens nuts and eggs. People with allergies to these items risk serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

see'sThe recalled products were distributed nationwide through See’s Candies Retail Stores, Licensees and Mail Order.  The raisins are sold in bulk and packaged at the stores in 8-oz clear cellophane bags with the UPC  737666083060 (milk) and  737666083053 (dark).

The recall was issued after a retail store employee discovered a chocolate covered pecan in the raisin bulk pack. The problem was caused because of shared lines that produce nut containing candies.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled raisins and are sensitive to nuts and eggs should not eat them and  return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Consumers with further questions may contact the company at 1-800-789-7337 (Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm PDT).
