Sweet Spots Recall Expands

Bee International is expanding the recall of “Sweet Spots” candies because they may contain undeclared egg protein, one of the major food allergens. The company is recalling an additional lot code. One illness was reported in a child.

The product is small different colored dots of candy on a paper strip. It comes in a clear 2 ounce plastic package. The additional lot code recalled is 2335613. The lot code that was recalled earlier is 2158613. The UPC number for both products isĀ 0-73563-00471-6.

A child from Raleigh, North Carolina was sickened on 9/10/13. That complaint was reported to the FDA and a recall was issued. The only allergen warning on the product is that it contains soy. The product is made in China but distributed by Bee International.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to eggs, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
