Taylor Farms Pacific Recalls Chicken Salad for Undeclared Egg

Taylor Farms Pacific of California is recalling about 678 pounds of BBQ Flavored Ranch Salad with Chicken because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The salad dressing packaged with the salad contains egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label. There have been no reports of adverse reactions associated with the consumption of this product.

The product is 12.25-ounce plastic strays of “Signature Cafe BBQ Flavored Ranch Salad with Chicken”. The product has the establishment number “P-34013” inside the USDA mark of inspection and a use-by date of “June 14,13” located on the top label. The product was made on June 7, 2013 and was sold to retail stores in California and Nevada. You can see the retail distribution list in PDF form.

The problem was discovered by the company during a document review. The company was also notified by a customer who rejected the product because of the mislabeling.
