Taylor Farms Recalls Ham and Cheese Pretzel Rolls for Undeclared Allergen

Taylor Farms New Jersey, Inc. of Swedesboro, NJ is recalling a limited quantity of Black Forest Ham and Cheese on a Pretzel Roll with Swiss Cheese and Country Dijon Honey Mustard because they have may contain an undeclared tree nut allergen.  People with allergies or sensitivities to tree nuts should not eat these products.

Recall SignageNo illnesses have been reported to date. However,  people with allergies or severe sensitivities to tree nuts run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they eat these products.

The problem with the recalled sandwiches is that the Dijon honey mustard packet was inadvertently replaced with a green pesto aioli packet containing pine nuts. The problem was discovered by an associate at one of the stores where the sandwiches are sold.

The recalled sandwiches were sold to a limited number of Wawa stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland. They were sold in n an 8.7oz. plastic containers with the code date of “sell by” 06/23/13 TFNJ 170 5:00am packaged  The sandwiches were distributed to stores on June 19, 2013.
