I have it on good authority that this was just a lab mistake admitted too late. No one has gotten sick.

    • Linda Larsen says

I am in contact with the FDA about this issue. We’ll let you know what they say.

And a recall isn’t issued only if people get sick. A recall is triggered when a government agency or the corporation responsible finds pathogenic bacteria in a product.

      • Ellen Pierce says

Or when a lab mistakenly finds it. The lab already admitted they made a mistake. A very expensive mistake. By then, the recall was already issued.

        • Linda Larsen says

That doesn’t happen very often; in fact, in the 1-1/2 years I’ve been the editor of this site, it only happened once last June. Hundreds of recalls are issued every year. And there is no official word yet on if that actually happened.
