The Muffin “Mam” Recalls Cake for Undeclared Egg

The Muffin “Mam” Inc.™ in South Carolina is recalling The Muffin “Mam”, Inc.™ Strawberry Crème Cake because it contains undeclared whole eggs. Eggs are one of the major food allergens. Anyone with a severe sensitivity or allergy to eggs may suffer a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The product is 24 ounce Strawberry Crème Cake Product in a PETE black cake base and clear dome. All lot codes are recalled with UPC number 7-60366-00986-3. The cake was sold in retail stores from March 19, 2011 to January 22, 2013 in West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania within the in-store Bakery area.
