Trader Giotto’s Caesar Salad Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Ghiringhelli Specialty Foods of California is voluntarily recalling one lot of Trader Giotto’s Caesar Salad because it may not list wheat, soy, and fish in the ingredients. Those are three of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to any of those ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the salad. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled Trader Giotto’s Caesar Salad has an SKU number of 05161, and a “USE BY 11/03” date printed on the label. It is packaged in an 8.5 ounce plastic clamshell. The 709 salads possibly affected were distributed to Trader Joe’s stores in Northern California, and in Reno and Carson City, Utah. No other lots, products, or stores are affected. If you purchased this salad and are allergic to wheat, soy, and/or fish, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
