Turkey Hill Dairy Recalls Ice Cream For Metal Shavings

turkey-hill-recallTurkey Hill Dairy of Conestoga, Pa., is recalling  ice cream that may contain metal shavings.  The recalled products include of 1.5 qt. (48 oz./1.42L) of Fudge Ripple Premium Ice Cream and 1 Pint (16 oz./473 ml) packages of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Premium Ice Cream, and Moose Tracks® Stuff’d Frozen Dairy Dessert. They were sold at some Turkey Hill Minit Markets in Pennsylvania, some Wal-Marts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and other small grocers and convenience stores in Maryland and Pennsylvania. These stores have all been contacted.

The recalled products are as follows: Turkey Hill Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Premium Ice Cream sold in 1 Pint (473 ml) containers with the UPC Code: 0-20735-42005-8 and the Sell By Date: 10/04/2014 42-092. Turkey Hill Fudge Ripple Premium Ice Cream in  1.5 quart (48 Ounce) containers with the UPC Code: 0-20735-11011-9 and Sell By Date: 09/30/2014 42-092. And Turkey Hill Moose Tracks Stuff’d Frozen Dairy Dessert in 1 Pint (473 ml) containers with the UPC Code: 0-20735-42025-6 and Sell By Date: 09/27/2014 42-092

There have been no reports of injury or illness. But consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. The recalled products would have been purchased by consumers after October 1, 2013. They can be returned to the store for a refund.
