Yoder’s Gift Boxes Recalled for Undeclared Milk and Wheat

With the government reopening, my inbox was flooded with recall notices from the FDA. Yoder’s Country Market is recalling custom gift boxes distributed in December 2012 because they may contain honey roasted peanuts that contain undeclared milk and wheat. Anyone allergic to those ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat that product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall SignageThe recalled custom gift packages have 11 ounce bags of Honey Roasted Peanuts. They were labeled “HONEY ROASTED PEANUTS, Net Wt. 11 oz (311G), Dist. By: Dutch Valley Distributors, Inc. Myerstown PA 10787”. The UPC number isĀ 8 77245 00143 3. The recall was initiated after Yoder’s Country Market was notified by Dutch Valley Food Development of their recall in mid-September, 2013.

If you are allergic to milk and/or wheat, do not eat this product. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
