Araya Issues Allergy Alert on Chocolate and Candy Products

Araya of Texas is voluntarily recalling various chocolate and candy products because they can contain traces of wheat, tree nuts, soy, and milk protein. Those are all food allergens. Anyone with allergies or severe sensitivities to those products could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume these products.

Crispy OrangeThe recalled products include Gourmet Bar – Bacon, Gourmet Bar – Cayenne Pepper, Gourmet Bar – Crispy Orange, and Gourmet Bar – Curry. Those are recalled for undeclared wheat. The products recalled for undeclared milk protein, soy, and wheat are Marshmallow – Chocolate, Marshmallow – Coconut, Marshmallow – Cookies and Cream, Marshmallow – Gingerbread, Marshmallow – Peppermint, Marshmallow – Red Velvet, and Marshmallow – Vanilla. Products recalled for listing tree nuts, wheat, soy, and milk on the label but not identifying them as allergens include Gourmet Bar – Mendiant – Dark, and Gourmet Bar – Mendiant – Milk.

Products recalled for tree nuts and wheat include Dry Fruit – Orange Peel, Dry Fruit – Mango Cayenne, and Dry Fruit – Pears. Chocolate S’Mores are recalled for wheat. And these products are recalled because outside label declares soy, milk, and wheat as ingredients but doesn’t identify them as allergens: Chocolate Gift Box – SC 6 Oreos, Chocolate Gift Box – SC Small 6 chocolate, and Chocolate Gift Box – SC Small 12 Chocolate.
