Chili Powder Recalled for Salmonella Contamination

US Trading Company of California is recalling crushed chili powder because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Dragonfly brand Crushed Chili Powder in 6.3 ounce plastic tubs with lot code 359XP on the bottom of the container. The UPC number isĀ 7 21557 53317 8, printed on the front of the tub. The chili powder is a product of Thailand. The product was distributed nationwide to retail stores and food wholesale.

The problem was only found in code 359XP. Production and distribution have been stopped while the FDA and California Department of Public Health investigate.

If you purchased this product, do not use it. Discard in a closed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
