Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbetto is being recalled for undeclared dairy. Consumers who are allergic to dairy should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The recalled product is manufactured by House of Flavors Inc. based in Ludington, Mich. which issued the recall was after receiving one complaint of an allergic reaction. The company is conducting an internal audit to determine possible cause.
The recalled product is Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbetto sold in 14oz. plastic containers stamped with UPC code 9951201206 and date code 14102 and marked “Best by Date: October 12, 2015.” No other Ciao Bella products or any other Ciao Bella Dark Cocoa Sorbetto are affected by the recall.
