Cool Runnings Curry Powder Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Universal Impex Corp. are recalling Cool Runnings Jamaican Style Curry Powder because it may contain peanut and almond, two of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. People with an allergy to those ingredients could have a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product. No reactions or illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Cool Runnings Jamaican Style Curry Powder in 500 gram packages. The code on the product is 140626 and the UPC number isĀ 6 24913 00218 2. It was sold in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec and may have been sold nationwide.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts and/or almonds (tree nuts), do not eat it. Throw it away or return the package to the place of purchase for a refund.
