Emparedados Boricua Recalled for Undeclared Eggs

Emparedados Boricua, located in Puerto Rico, is recalling Emparedados Boricua – Chicken and Cheese (Chicken and Cheese Sandwich) because it contains undeclared eggs. Anyone with an egg allergy could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product.

The product is sold in units of 6.5 ounces each. It was distributed to stores at gas stations in Puerto Rico from March 17, 2014 until April 3, 2014. No complaints or reports of adverse reactions have been received to date. The problem was discovered during an FDA inspection, and the product is being removed from the market.
