Fairway Condiment Grilling Sauce Recalled for Undeclared Fish

Wolfgang B. Gourmet Foods of New York is voluntarily recalling Fairway brand Condiment Grilling Sauce because it contains undeclared fish (anchovies), one of the major food allergens. The product is made with Worcestershire sauce, which contains anchovies as a sub-ingredient, but anchovies are not listed on the label. Anyone with an allergy to fish could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product.

The product was sold at 14 Fairway stores in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The lot numbers of the affected products are 340 GRSC with a use-by date of 03/08/2014, and lot 357 with use-by date of 3/25/2014. The lot numbers are on the side of the glass bottle. No reports of illness have been received to date.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to fish or anchovies, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
