In Canada, Bakery Products Recalled for Undeclared Soy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Boulangerie l’Escale are recalling bakery products that contain soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy to soy could have a serious reaction if they eat one of these products. There is no word on whether or not any adverse reactions have been reported.

RecallThe recalled products are all Boulangerie l’Escale brand. Bakery products are recalled, in 375 gram packages with UPC number 1 77570 77701 1, and in 440 gram packages with UPC number 1 77570 77702 8. Also recalled are Pain Panini, in 440 gram containers with UPC number 1 77570 77703 5, and in 600 gram packages with UPC number 1 77570 77706 6. All best before dates are recalled up to and including 10JN2014. The products were sold in Quebec.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to soy, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
