In Canada, Chocolate Chip Cookies Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Couche-Tard Inc. are recalling Circle K chocolate chip cookies because they may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. There is no word on whether or not any reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Circle K Confetti Square Chocolate Chip Cookies in individual packages. All codes where peanut is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number is 1 22222 24115 0. The cookies were sold in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia.

If you bought this product and you are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
