In Canada, Coffee Products Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Thai Indochine Trading Inc. are recalling several types of coffee products from the marketplace because they contain undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No reactions have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

All codes on all of these products where milk is not declared on the label are recalled. The recalled products are Vinacafe Cafe 3 in 1 Gold in 24 x 20 gram packages.  The UPC number is 8 934683 008638. Also recalled is Vinacafe Instant Coffee Mix “3 trong 1” in 24 x 20 gram containers. The UPC number is 8 934683 002599. Finally, Vinacafe BH Wake-Up Instant Coffee Mix (weasel coffee) is recalled. It is packaged in 20 x 17 gram containers with the UPC number 8 934683 008478. They were sold in New Brunswick, Ontario, and possibly nationally. You can see pictures of the product photos at the CFIA web site.

If you purchased any of these products and you are allergic to milk, do not consume them. Discard or return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
