In Canada, Dip Mix Recalled for Undeclared Soy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Maple Leaf Spices are recalling Dip Mix because it contains soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to soy could have a life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. There is no word on whether any allergic reactions have been reported.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is Maple Leaf Spices Bacon & Onion Dip Mix in 30 gram containers. All codes where soy is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number on the product isĀ 8 75950 00007 9. The Dip Mix was sold in Alberta and British Columbia at the retail level.

If you bought this product and are allergic to soy, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
