In Canada, Frozen Fish Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Uncle T. Food Ltd. are recalling Yao Ji brand frozen fish products because they contain milk that is not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy to milk could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products include Yao Ji (Chinese Characters only) Frozen Fish Medley Combo in 300 gram packages. The UPC number isĀ 4 713174 090314 and the codes on the product are EXP 20140403 and EXP 20140315. Also recalled are Yao Ji (Chinese Characters only) Frozen Fish – Dumplings Fish Ball Combo in 300 gram packages. The UPC number is 4 713174 030297 and all codes where milk is not declared on the list of ingredients.

The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of these products.
