In Canada, Gravy Mixes Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

In Canada, Sylvia’s Essential Sauces gravy mixes are being recalled for undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens, and wheat. Anyone with an allergy to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. There is no word on whether any allergic reactions have been reported to date.

RecallThe recalled products are all Sylvia’s Essential Sauces, and all codes where mustard and wheat are not on the label are included. Prime Roast Beef Gravy Mix in 270 gram packages, with UPC number 6 27263 19951 9, Prime Roast Beef Gravy Mix in 2.84 kg packages with UPC number 6 27263 19950 2, Premium Poultry Gravy Mix in 270 gram packages with UPC number 6 27263 19971 7, and Premium Poultry Gravy Mix in 2.84 kg packages, with UPC number 6 27263 19970 0 are recalled.

Also recalled are Perfect French Fry Gravy Mix in 270 gram packages with UPC number 6 27263 19961 8, Perfect French Fry Gravy Mix in 2.84 kg packages with UPC number 6 27263 19960 1, Country Pork Gravy Mix in 270 gram packages with UPC number 6 27263 19981 6, and Country Pork Gravy Mix in 2.84 kg packages with UPC number 6 27263 19980 9 are recalled. The products were sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to wheat and/or mustard, do not eat them. Return to the place of purchase or discard.
