In Canada, Tartufo Recalled for Undeclared Almonds and Wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Rich Products of Canada Ltd. are recalling Tartufo products because they contain undeclared almonds and wheat, two of the major food allergens. People with an allergy to those ingredients could have a serious allergic reaction if they eat the recalled products. There was one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Gelato fino Tartufo – Chocolate/Cream in 3 x 125 ml containers. The code on the product is 13325 and the UPC number is 6989217730. Also recalled is Gelato fino Tartufo – Amaretto/Cappuccino in 3 x 125 ml containers. The code on the product is 13325 and the UPC number is 6989217732.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to almonds (tree nuts) and/or wheat, do not eat it. Throw it away or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
