K-Fat Recalls Ginger Candy For Undeclared Sulfites

K-Fat Inc. of Brooklyn, NY is recalling Sweetened Ginger Candy because it contains undeclared sulfites. People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they do.

RecallThe recalled product was imported from Viet Nam and sold  in a 8.8oz (250g) clear, plastic container with the UPC code  8935001201304. The product was sold in New York City and New Jersey.

The problem was discovered during routine sampling by New York Department of Agriculture and Markets Food and subsequent analysis. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
