Lotte Frozen Fruit Bars, Popsicles Recalled For Undeclared Allergens

Jinsunmi Int’l Inc. recalling Lotte brand watermelon frozen fruit bars because they contain an undeclared allergen, peanuts. Consumers who have an allergy to peanuts should not eat this product as severe allergic reaction may occur. One allergic reaction has been reported in association with consumption of this product. That person received treatment and has been released from medical care.

fruit-bar-recall The recall includes 102 units of  17.98 oz. plastic pouches of Lotte Brand Frozen Fruit Bars. The pouches, which contain six fruit bars, are covered with watermelon design on the front, and have the UPC number 8801062443055. The lot code is 13.05.01F2 and 13.07.17F2.

The products were sold at three California grocery stores beginning January 20. The stores are Hannam Super Mart located in Fullerton, Diamond Bar, and La Palma. The recall does not affect any other products from Jinsunmi Int’l Inc.

Unilever United States Inc. is voluntarily recalling  20-count boxes of Popsicle brand Orange, Cherry and Grape flavored ice pops because they may have been inadvertently exposed to milk, an allergen not listed as an ingredient on the label. People with milk allergies should not eat these products as they run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. The company is aware of two milk allergy reactions associated with this product.

The recalled product was sold nationwide at retail stores in a paperboard box, containing 20-1.65 FL OZ (48.7 ML) POPS with a unit UPC of 7756712130, with best before dates of JUN0315GBV, JUN0415GBV, JUN0515GBV and JUN0615GBV,  printed on the side of each box. Products with other “best before” dates are not included in the recall.
