Middle East Bakery Recalls Dairy-Free Pancakes for Milk

Middle East Bakery of Massachusetts is recalling all lots of Market Basket Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Pancakes because they may contain undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to milk could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these products. There was one reported illness due to an adverse allergic reaction.

Market Basket Pancake RecallThe pancakes were sold at Market Basket Supermarket Stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. They were sold in the frozen food department. Each package has 12 Market Basket, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Pancakes in a 14.4 ounce (408 gram) box with UPC numberĀ 4970571120.

The recall was the result of an FDA inspection. Product containing milk was distributed in packaging that did not list milk on the label. If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk, do not eat it. Discard the product or return to the place of purchase for a refund.

  1. The facility is out of control. they don’t have proper separation of allergens never the less dairy/Gluten free products. they are trying to achieve a safe food certificate.. and have been fudging their way through the process without any care of the human consumption.
