Pork Blood With Vinegar Recalled for Lack of Inspection

pork-bloodGallon jugs of Pork Blood with Vinegar produced by Olson Meat of Orland, Calif.  and shipped to Hawaii are being recalled because they were produced without the benefit of inspection. Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it.

The gallon jugs labeled  “OLSON MEAT COMPANY, INC., PORK BLOOD WITH VINEGAR” have  the establishment number “EST. 21799” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were produced Sept.9 and were shipped frozen on Sept. 10 to a single retailer in Hawaii.

Pork blood is used to make blood sausage or blood pudding. There have been no reports of illness., but anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
