Products Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling several products for undeclared milk. Margarine products by Richardson International and tortellini and ravioli from Pasta D’Aprile are being recalled for the food allergen. Anyone with an allergy to milk could have a serious allergic reaciotn if they consume these products.

Recall SignageThe first recall is for margarine products. You can see the long list of recalled products along with package sizes and UPC numbers at the CFIA web site. They include brands Chefmaster, Farmers, Merit, No Name, Irresistibles, Central Dairies, and Maritime margarine and spreads. These products were sold in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Pasta D’Aprile products are being recalled by Pastificio D’Aprile and were sold in Ontario for hotels, institutions, and restaurants. They include Classic Beef Tortellini in 5 kg containers with UPC number 0 65509 11012 4 and Jumbo Beef Ravioli with Vegetables in 5 kg containers with UPC number 0 65509 11017 9.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
