Pudding and Pie Pops Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

King of Pops of South Carolina is recalling mislabeled pudding pops and pie pops because they may contain milk, wheat, egg, and/or soy that are not declared on the label. The labels do contain milk, flour, chocolate, egg, vanilla wafer, and/or graham cracker, which may contain the allergens milk, soy, egg, and wheat. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to these ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these products.

King of Pops RecallThe products are banana pudding’ pops and key lime pie pops. The UPC codes on the products are 59959 00305 and 59959 00304. The pops are labeled with the company logo and flavor. All known mislabeled products have been removed from stores, but they are likely still in consumer’s freezers.

They were distributed in Charleston, South Carolina at the retail level. The problem was discovered during routine inspection by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. No illnesses have been reported to date.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, wheat, egg, and/or soy, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
