Rancho Feeding Recalled Beef Also Sold in Oregon and Washington

The recall of Rancho Feeding Corporation beef products has been expanded. While the products recalled are the same, and the dates are the same, the USDA now says that the meat was sold in Oregon and Washington state.

Warning Recall SignThe 8,742,700 pounds of meat and meat products were made from diseased and unsound animals, and was not inspected by FSIS officials. The beef carcasses and boxes have the establishment number “EST. 527” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Every box has a case code number ending in “3” or “4”. The products were produced January 1, 2013 through January 7, 2014 and shipped to distribution centers and retail establishments.

A partial retail distribution list has been issued, but it only lists one establishment in Florida and 51 establishments in California. Look at the list of products that have been recalled. If you purchased any of them, do not eat them. Return to the place of purchase for a refund.

A secondary recall by LeftCoast GrassFed has been issued in connection with this problem. That company had some of its products processed at the Rancho Feeding Corporation slaughterhouse.
